Anonymous Chat With No Sign-Up

5 min read

You can chat anonymously with no sign-up on SayHello: press Start talking and you are matched with an adult for a one-on-one text conversation. Nothing is asked — no email, no phone number, no name. A guest gets five conversations a day, and messages are deleted 24 hours after the chat ends.

No email, no phone, no name. What that gets you, what it does not, and what other sites ask for.

Most chat sites put a form between you and the first message. Some need it; some just want your email. This page covers why sites ask, what you give up by skipping the form, what SayHello knows about a guest, and what gets deleted and when.

Why do chat sites ask you to sign up?

A sign-up gives a site a way to recognise you next time: to make a ban stick, to keep your settings, to sell a subscription or to send you email. Some of those reasons protect other people, some protect revenue. A form is not a sign of safety, and skipping one is not a sign of danger.
  1. Bans that stick. An account makes it harder to come back after being blocked.
  2. Paid tiers. Filters and extras are easier to sell to a known account.
  3. Marketing. An email address is worth something to the site even if you never open a newsletter.
  4. Saved things. Friends, history and settings need somewhere to live.
  5. Age checks. Some sites ask for a date of birth or a document. That is a form too, and it is stored somewhere too.

What do you lose without an account?

On a no-sign-up chat you lose continuity. There is no friend list, no saved history and no way to find the same person again tomorrow. On SayHello a guest also has a daily limit and cannot open photos. For many people that trade is exactly the point.
  1. A guest gets five conversations a day. They come back the next day.
  2. A photo sent to a guest arrives blurred, and opening it needs an account.
  3. Conversations are not kept for you to reread later.
  4. A free account removes the limit and asks only for an email and a password.

What does SayHello know about a guest?

SayHello asks a guest for nothing. To count your five daily conversations and to apply bans, it gives your browser one random identifier in a cookie. Like every website, it also sees your IP address, which caps how many new guests can start from one address in a day.
  1. No email, phone or name. There is no form to put them in.
  2. Gender and age only if you set them. For a guest, age is a bracket such as 25–34.
  3. Your partner sees your language, and your gender and age bracket if you chose to set them.
  4. In the lobby everyone appears as Guest plus four digits, account or not.
  5. Lobby messages are seen by everyone there at the time. Keep anything personal for a one-on-one chat.
  6. What no site can stop: the other person copying your words. Share accordingly.

What gets deleted, and when?

Private conversations on SayHello are deleted 24 hours after they end. The one exception is a chat someone reported: it is kept until the report is reviewed, and never longer than 30 days. Messages written in the lobby are deleted after 24 hours as well. Nothing is published or sold.
  1. Private chat: deleted 24 hours after it ends.
  2. Reported chat: kept until a moderator reviews it, at most 30 days.
  3. Lobby messages: deleted after 24 hours. Someone arriving later sees only the last hour.
  4. Your daily count resets every day.

How to start chatting without signing up

Starting takes one tap and no typing. The steps below are everything between opening the page and your first message, including the two optional settings that make a match more likely to suit you. None of them asks for anything that identifies you.
  1. Open sayhello.chat in any browser. There is nothing to install.
  2. Press Start talking and pick a room: Talk or Flirt.
  3. While the search runs, you wait in the lobby. You can write there or just wait.
  4. Optional: in search settings, set your gender and age bracket, or tick Any language.
  5. When someone is found, the private chat opens. Say hello.

What do chat sites ask for before you start?

Requirements change, so the table lists only what can be checked and says Unknown where it cannot. It compares what each site needs before your first message: an account, an email or phone number, a camera, or an app download. Omegle is there for completeness: it has been closed since 2023.

Questions people ask

Is it really anonymous without signing up?

To your partner, yes: they see only what you type, plus your language and anything you chose to set. The site still sees your IP address and keeps a cookie, as every website does. No site can honestly promise more.

Do I need an email to chat?

No. An email is needed only if you create an account to remove the daily limit.

How many chats can I have without an account?

Five conversations a day. They come back the next day.

Can someone find me from the chat?

Only through what you tell them. Text carries no location. Names, photos and places are what give people away.

What does my partner see?

Your language, and your gender and age bracket only if you set them. In the lobby you are Guest plus four digits. Nothing else.

Can I create an account later?

Yes, at any time. An account is free and needs an email and a password. It removes the limit and lets you open photos people send you.

Are conversations saved?

For 24 hours after the chat ends, then they are deleted. A reported chat is kept until it is reviewed, and never longer than 30 days.

Is it free?

Yes. There are no paid features.
